Spider In My Bed

Whether you are afraid of spiders or not, it is an absolute horror to see and feel them crawling under your skin when you are sleeping.

Me personally? God, I’m afraid of spiders!

Literally, If I see one, I’m running!

Although most spiders are not poisonous, some people might have allergic reactions to them, making the situation worse.

So, why do spiders appear in your bed?

Spiders are creatures that prefer warm and enclosed areas in which they can completely hibernate.

Beds are one of the top places that provide these needs for them which might be the reason why they are in your bed.

They also prefer making webs on hard objects like bed frames to lay their eggs.

Once hatched, these small spiders might crawl into your bed, creeping you out.

Hence, it is best to always make sure that you clean every area of your bed to prevent them from infesting.

In this article I’m going to share with you how you can keep spiders away from your bed and room

Why Do Spiders Keep Coming On My Bed?

It is unusual to see spiders coming on your bed, much more if they keep on appearing on your bed sheets.

There must be a reason why these arachnids are always crawling on your resting area.

Spiders love to hide in warm, enclosed, and even dark places.

The space under your bed provides the perfect place for spiders to hide, which is why they keep on appearing and resurfacing.

Although these spiders will avoid human contact, it is inevitable to see them on your sheets sometimes.

Hence, it is a good idea to make sure that you are not only cleaning your bed on the surface, but even under your bed too

Try to keep your bedroom clean and spotless!

How Do You Keep Spiders Out Of Your Bed?

Luckily, you do not have to endure the creepy thought of having spiders crawling on your bed.

There are ways to keep the spiders out of your bed and they are actually quite easy solutions for your problem.

Make use of spider repellents, such as plug-in spider repellent.

They naturally deter spiders away from your bed as these repellents can make them quite uncomfortable.

Essential oils, like peppermint, can be mixed with water and create a spray for these spiders.

Of course, nothing beats cleaning to keep these spiders away.

If you make sure to clean your bed, especially the areas where the spiders hide, then you can completely get rid of them.

Another good tip is to avoid eating on your bed too

Well, I talk more about this in detail in my article which you can check out – Does eating in your room attract bugs?

Do Spiders Bite At Night In Bed?

Waking up in the morning seeing spiders on your bed would definitely freak you out (It sure would freak me out too!).

Thankfully, these spiders would not bite you even when you are sleeping.

After all, they know that they should not wake you up or else, it will become a serious trouble for them (you might kill them, although you shouldn’t)

The only reason why spiders would bite you is when they feel extremely threatened.

However, most of the time, you should not worry about these spiders biting you as they would usually want to crawl and cross on your bed.

Where Do Spiders Hide In Bedrooms?

When you neglect cleaning your bedroom, simply wait for a few days to weeks and you will easily find spiders no matter where you look.

In your bedroom, it is quite common to see spiders in the ceiling corners, under the bed and other furniture, window sills, doors, and in tight, enclosed areas.

Spiders tend to settle in dark, enclosed places.

They also like to put their web in warm places as they prefer to hibernate in warm temperatures.

What Attracts Spiders In Your Room?

Spiders tend to get attracted to your ceiling where there is light.

This is because there will most likely be insects (a.k.a. their food) hanging around the light.

These arachnids will also be attracted to warm and enclosed spaces where they can establish their houses.

If you tend to leave your room dirty, then it is not surprising if you have spiders inside your room.

This is why it is important to make sure that you are always cleaning your bed and your entire bedroom to get rid of these crawling creatures.

How To Get Rid of Spiders In Your House? 3 Simple Steps

There are ways to get rid of spiders in your house, and luckily, they are quite easy to do.

If your house has been infested with spiders, here are some quick tips you can do to get rid of them.

1. Set spider traps

Install glue traps where you can catch and kill these spiders.

They are highly effective if you place them in areas where a lot of spiders are hanging out.

I would recommend to not kill them as they are living creatures. (That’s just my personal opinion)

2. Use peppermint oil

Spiders absolutely hate the scent of peppermint, so using peppermint oil would definitely be effective.

You can make a spray out of these oils by mixing them with water to make an instant spider repellent.

3. Clean up spider webs

One best way to get rid of spiders is to simply keep your house clean

Make sure you remove any clutters, leftovers, dust, and the spider webs to get rid of these crawling creatures.

Wrapping Up

Seeing and feeling spiders crawling on your bed can be a terrifying experience.

These spiders might be on your bed as they are settling under the spaces with their web.

Remember they will usually build their web in the bed frame, especially if it is dark and dirty.

To get rid of them, make sure to keep your room tidy.

You can also make use of peppermint oils and spider traps, so they would no longer appear in your room and on your bed.
